Whole Foods Market
cm&b has completed approximately 40 projects for Whole Foods Markets since our partnership began in 2003. Originally hired to build their new store in Swampscott, MA, cm&b has gone on to provide Whole Foods with construction services on a variety of assignments from smaller department relocations to occupied major renovations to several new stores. Project highlights include:
- A major component to our relationship with Whole Foods is the extensive pre-construction services we provide. Supporting Whole Foods construction managers and designers with preliminary budgeting, facility evaluations and scheduling, the programming we provide each project is an essential component to our relationship.
- Construction management services for the construction of 8 new Whole Foods Market stores in various locations throughout New England and Northern California.
- Ten remodel/major renovations including several with phased construction schedule to accommodate daily operations.
- Working with store planning on 25 minor remodels to accommodate department expansions, consolidations and relocations.
- Installation of fuel cells at the Glastonbury, CT and Dedham, MA stores that use an electrochemical process to produce energy allowing the store to reduce its burden on the power grid and its impact on the environment. The Glastonbury store was awarded LEED Silver certification and the Dedham store was named a Green Building of America Award winner for their sustainable measures.
- Performed conversion of existing Wild Oats store to a new Whole Foods Market.
“The entire cm&b team is comprised of some of the most dedicated, trustworthy and cost conscious professionals in the industry. Whether their assignment is a department renovation or a new store from ground up, I know we will receive the same exceptional level of consistency and construction management. Most importantly, I know that the cm&b team is always looking out for Whole Foods Market’s best interests.”
