Best Buy

cm&b has completed more than 25 projects totaling approximately one million SF of both new construction and owner occupied renovations for national electronics superstore, Best Buy, meeting the owner's objective of opening as many new stores as possible in the shortest amount of time.  Project highlights include:

  • Take-over and final construction completion of the first Best Buy store due to insolvency of original general contractor. Accelerated final stages of construction and occupancy to maintain original opening date.  Assumed all subcontracts for compliance and financial closeout.
  • New 45,000 square foot prototype store constructed in just 12 weeks from foundation to store opening.
  • Constructed the regional office headquarters for the client.
  • Represented the Northeast at two separate Best Buy annual construction conferences.
  • Chosen from group of national contractors to participate on a "Construction Process Panel" with Best Buy and Home Depot at the National Retail Construction Conference.
