Join Us in Preventing Falls in Construction National Fall Prevention Stand-Down

Join Us in Preventing Falls in Construction National Fall Prevention Stand-Down May 6-10, 2019

The purpose of the National Fall Prevention Stand-Down is to raise awareness of preventing fall hazards in construction. Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees, accounting for 366 of the 971 construction fatalities recorded in 2017 (BLS data). Those deaths were preventable. The National Safety Stand-Down raises fall hazard awareness across the country in an effort to stop fall fatalities and injuries.

Let’s take a break and join the stand-down by having a toolbox talk or a safety activity such as conducting safety equipment inspections, developing rescue plans, or discussing job specific hazards.

The success of our Safety Program depends on each and every one of us! Whether our focus lies on creating safer job sites, a safer workplace here in the office, or simply making smarter decisions to ensure safety in our personal lives, we all have a role to play when it comes to safety. We hope you’ll take the opportunity to help us spread safety awareness!

Together, we are People.Building.
