Women In Construction Week – 2020

How long have you been with CM&B?

Almost 4 years! Class of 2016

Did you always know you wanted to work in the construction industry? Or did it happen by accident?

100% on accident. Kevin Puopolo, the owner of CM&B, would frequent my old work with his family, friends and employees often enough that everyone would refer to Kevin as one of the greatest guys around. His charm would instantly light up a room. So, I did what I do best and finagled my way into a conversation with Kevin where I convinced him to give me a shot at being one of his newest employees.
The rest is history.

What is your favorite CM&B project and why?

My favorite project that CM&B has done is the Northshore Mall Renovation project. This project is one of my favorites because I grew up locally and love seeing the transformation that has been made thus far. I also was able to do multiple site visits to see the process of construction from start to completion.

What is the most challenging part of your role and
what is the most rewarding?

The most challenging part of my role is all the moving parts. We are constantly managing subcontractor evaluations with project and client expectations. All these moving parts can sometimes be a challenge.

The most rewarding part of my job is the collaboration. I love that all CM&B employees work together to get a task done. It takes a village
to make a project complete!

What tool can you not live without in your role?

The most important tool I could not live without is my computer. I constantly reviewing and combining quotes for my team to evaluate.
