Women In Construction Week – 2020

How long have you been with CM&B?

7.5 years

Did you always know you wanted to work in the construction industry? Or did it happen by accident?

No, working in Construction happened completely by accident. I was originally hired as the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant and I’ve grown to become Assistant Vice President/Operations.

What is your favorite CM&B project and why?

Wegmans in Natick, MA. At the time, it was the largest project
that I had been apart of and one of CM&B’s largest projects.
It presented many different challenges and
helped me to grow as a Project Coordinator.

What is the most challenging part of your role and
what is the most rewarding?

The most challenging part of my role is juggling the different responsibilities of it, from standard Project Coordinator work to the implementation of and training our employees on new systems. The most rewarding part of my job is being able to help and work collaboratively with my coworkers, subcontractors and the design team to bring a project to completion.

What tool can you not live without in your role?

In a simplistic view, my computer! More detailed, Procore. We have been using Procore for about a year now and it has vastly improved our way of operating by creating efficiencies and better, less manual, processes for CM&B, especially the Operations Team.
